BIO

Matt Bonner is a musician, writer, producer, and entrepreneur, with projects across multiple fields.

His full-length records include Seven Words (2009), Signs Of Passing (2003, named one of that year’s ‘Top 12 DIY’ releases by Performing Songwriter Magazine), and Gauge (the 2000 epic from Medicine Stone). He’s currently recording and releasing new solo material, as well as new material with altcountry folkrock popgrassjam band Station Mountain. He also produces, remixes, or scores material for other projects which run the genre spectrum, including the 2015 mashup of Drake’s ‘0 to 100’ with Steph Curry reading his draft report.

Matt is the Executive Producer of Janey Mary, a 2008 independent Irish short film which won multiple awards, including Best Short Film at the Hollywood Film Festival. He also appeared in a number of uncredited cameo roles in Irish television pilots and skits, including a celebrity send up on The Podge & Rodge Show. And he once held an dripping tray of ice and frozen fish for 4 hours during a photo shoot for a billboard ad.

His novella Mileage recounts a 14,000 mile road trip around the United States, and is a witches’ brew of local snapshots, synchronicity, humorous character study, and late night nonsense. He's currently developing a second book, a series of high-intensity vignettes based around a mythical place called The Lakehouse. He's also been threatening to publish a marinating cookbook for BBQ enthusiasts, which should be easy enough to finish, but don't hold your breath.

Matt has founded or co-founded several digital media businesses, including Stone Circle Records, MovieQuoter, Trezur, World Party, Eagle Tree Creation, and FluffyNugs. He also has developed several real estate projects in historic property renovation, land conservation, and rural village infill.

Matt has lived in Austin, Boulder, Jackson, London, and Dublin. He splits time between 1104 in Vermont and the B10 in Marblehead.

TRIVIA

Matt collects strings of Christmas lights, and often has large orange cats, except for Little and Sweets, both of whom were/are mostly black and expected to remain same. He waited tables once for 6 weeks and was horrible at it. He drinks as much coffee as possible, and likes chianti and dirty martinis up with lots of olives. He's six foot one, ambidextrous, and his favorite color is purple.
